The Water Foundation has awarded TAG Youth Club for Disabled Young People £15,000 to help fund its Friday night activities over the next 3 years (£5,000 per year).

The Wates Foundation is an independent grant-making charity. TAG delivers a programme of personal, social and educational opportunities to children and young people with disabilities in a fun, safe, caring and well equipped environment.

TAG Junior Junior Club meets on alternate Fridays between 5.30 and 7pm and is for those aged 10-15.

TAG Youth Club meets weekly between 7.30 and 9.30pm and is for those aged 15-25.

Activities take place at Ham Youth Centre and within the local and wider community.

We have been busy looking at the costs of our residential trips. Our trips are always subsidised and have been fortunate to have received additional funding in 2018 and 2019 but long term this cannot guaranteed. We’re pleased that subsidies will continue in 2020, however we are proposing the following new price structure to ensure we can cover the costs to the charity:

£250 per person. For those on low incomes, there will be the opportunity to apply for a additional subsidy. We want as many young people to have the opportunity to come away with us and have an action packed short break.

£250 per person who requires their own PA to attend. There will be no charge for the PA.

£400 per person who require TAG to provide 121 support during trip.

Our aim in 2020 will also be to look at additional funding and take part in fundraising activities to be able to reduce the £400, 121 cost to £250 so there is a one price structure for all.

34 young people completed our end of session evaluation with everyone depositing a green disc.
