TAG Youth Club for Disabled Young People celebrate the success as over 200 people attend their first Transition & Local Offer Fair.

There has not been a Transition Fair for young people with disabilities and their parents and carers for a couple of years.  Parents have been asking for the return of the fair and TAG took it upon itself to provide this much needed event.

As the planning progressed parents of younger children asked what was available for them so we chose to include the local offer which made the event suitable to many more children and families.

We welcomed over 20 organisations during the day with many saying they engaged with more families then they had a previous fairs.  Many more organisations were invited and declined to attend and we will be working to encourage these service providers for any future events.

The event focused on activities rather than speakers the afternoon had a fun and relaxed community feel about it.

We have already started to look at providing a larger and improved Transition & Local Offer Fair  in 2019.

We held our first TAG Young Carers session today. Four siblings headed off to Kidzania in London followed by Nando's for a late lunch. During the day positive relationships were formed and we hope these will develop in the future.

Everyone said they enjoyed the day and would like to attend another Young Carers day with TAG.
